All is not doom and gloom in this grim era of austerity. After 77 years Lancs finally won the County Championship this summer - so to replace the tired old has been Spice Girls, in the photo above you can see the new WINNING face of my website!

I have finally had to take down this glorious photo from thre front page of my website.... It all seems so long ago now!! As of September 2012, Lancs are no longer champions. Indeed, they have been relegated and are not even in the first division. What a come down - maybe it's just desserts for resting on laurels? More pertinently, I think that we got 77 years worth of luck with the weather, results pitches and general all round good fortune rolled into one glorious season in 2011. We will be back - and we may well win the Championship again - but nothing will ever match the events of 2011. |
